Here we are for another edition of Stand Up with Pete Dominick.

Pete asked listeners to tell us what the candidates should discuss at their debate tonight.

Then our friend, Bruce Bartlett joined us for the first time in studio.  He talked taxes and his new book, “The Benefit and the Burden“.

After Bartlett, Pete asked listeners to call in and respond to some of the candidates calling Obama unAmerican.

We then welcomed back Eric Segall, Constitutional Law professor at Georgia State University, and author of the forthcoming book “Supreme Myths: Why Supreme Court is Not a Court and Its Justices Not Judges”.

Pete asked listeners what can be done to “fundamentally change” America.  Or what should be changed.

Hello, friends!

Pete admitted he and his wife rented and watched a full season of Little House on the Prairie.  Interesting… Oh and he was reading a story on Affirmative Action and for some reason he sang a line…out of nowhere…not on purpose…it was wonderful.

Our first guest was Curtis Brainard, Science Editor for the Columbia Journalism Review, discussed his recent piece “What Drives Public Opinion About Climate Change?“.

The next guest was Karam Nachar, a Middle Eastern History PhD candidate at Princeton and cyber activist working with Syrian protestors.  He gave us an update on the unrest in Syria from the activist’s perspective.

Pete then asked females to call in to react to Rick Santorum’s remarks on contraception.

We were then joined by Bill Schulz from Fox News’ Red Eye.  How the hell did he get on this program?!  #HisMomCalledAndInsisted.  Bill and I once shared the same uterus and now the same studio…freaky…

Thanks fer the listenin’!

Happy Valentines Day…and so forth and so on…

It’s our first episode without @AaronHodges…I’m scared…

We aired the last 15 minutes of the White House Press Briefing with Press Secretary, Jay Carney.

Then we took calls on what people thought about the Presidential field on the Republican side, and why it seems people are underwhelmed by the line up.

Our first guest was our friend, Dr. Jeffrey Sachs, Director of the Earth Institute at Columbia University, Special Advisor to United Nations Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon, and named as one of Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential people  in the world in 2004 and 2005.  His most recent book is “The Price of Civilization: Reawakening American Virtue and Prosperity“.  Dr. Sachs and Pete discussed the environment, President Obama’s new budget, and some other smart stuff…  Oh and we tried to get him to give us Bono’s phone number.  Once he does, I’ll let you all know.

Next we had another in-studio guest.  Mitchell Silber, joined us, he’s the Director of Intelligence Analysis for the NYPD.  He discussed his new book, “The Al Qaeda Factor: Plots Against the West“.  Mitchell told us about domestic terror threats. PLUS he had a cool gruff voice, but couldn’t be nicer.

In light of President Obama’s new budget, announced yesterday, Pete asked the listeners, what is the government’s role in investing in the future?
