The Mission

Pete Dominick has a simple agenda: he wants to learn, and to do so publicly, so that listeners can learn along with him. He believes learning can be both entertaining and participatory.

The History

Stand Up! with Pete Dominick first aired in February 2008 on Sirius radio’s short-lived Indie Talk channel. It was then called Pete’s Big Mouth. When Sirius and XM merged later that year, Channel 110 was taken over by XM’s POTUS station, and the show changed names to Stand Up! with Pete Dominick. Some of the racier aspects of the show were toned down to come in line with the channel’s more mature mission, but the spirit of independent social and political awareness-raising remained the same.
